2026 Land Cruiser Cameras: Look Beyond the Rear View
2026 U.S. Land Cruiser grade equipped with Multi-Terrain Monitor (MTM).
If front and side camera views are on your wish list, look at the Land Cruiser grade. Its standard Multi-Terrain Monitor gives you selectable views beyond the backup camera’s rear image. The picture underneath the vehicle needs a little more explanation: it uses images captured earlier.

More angles than a backup camera
The backup camera turns on when you select reverse. MTM adds front and side views, so it is worth considering if you want those additional angles as well as the rear picture.
The camera switch brings up the monitor with the power switch ON. The views you can select depend on gear, speed and the four-wheel-drive/Multi-terrain Select settings. Ask to see the display controls while parked and have the different view conditions explained; one screen is not the whole feature.
The under-vehicle picture is an earlier image
This view is not a live camera feed from beneath the truck. It combines previously captured images with vehicle-position guides. If an obstacle moves, sand or snow shifts, or the truck slips after the image was captured, the picture may no longer match what is underneath.
The system also needs the truck to travel a certain distance before that image can appear. Ask for an explanation of this limitation during the demonstration rather than judging the feature from a stationary under-vehicle screen.
Keep your eyes on the surroundings
MTM has blind spots, and its lenses can make distances look different. Check directly and use the mirrors; an empty screen is not proof of an empty space. Toyota also lists snow, icy or slick surfaces and hills among conditions where MTM must not be used. Read the full camera-view instructions and limits before using it.
Find your Land Cruiser
Make MTM a priority if its extra front and side views answer a need you have. Choose with an understanding of what the screen shows—and what still needs a direct check. Check current Land Cruiser listings at Toyota of Fox Lake, then confirm the model year, grade, equipment and availability of the vehicle you are considering. This guide covers 2026; current listings may include other model years.
