2026 Crown Signia: The Panoramic Roof Doesn't Open

2026 U.S. Crown Signia XLE and Limited. Shade instructions apply to June 2026 production onward.

Choose Crown Signia Limited for a glass roof, but keep looking if you want a sunroof that slides or tilts open. Its panoramic glass stays fixed. The power shade opens and closes beneath it.

The roof is a reason to compare XLE and Limited early. Limited includes the panoramic glass and power shade; XLE does not offer them. If opening the roof for fresh air is a must-have, fixed glass will not meet that requirement.

Fixed glass and moving shadeThe Crown Signia Limited glass remains fixed above the powered shade. The arrow identifies shade movement, without dimensions or a ventilation opening.Fixed glass: stays in placePower shade: moves beneath the glass

Compare both shade positions from your seat

While parked, sit in your usual driving position and compare the view with the shade open and closed. Have a regular rear passenger try both, too. You are choosing how much overhead glass you want to see during an ordinary trip.

The overhead switches move the shade when the power switch is ON, and it can be stopped partway. Try that middle position as well as fully open and closed before deciding whether the feature belongs on your must-have list.
